OFFICER DOUGLAS "DOUG" RIVERS

Douglas S. Rivers, Police Officer, 63 of Hondo, Texas died July 12, 2014. He was born March 12, 1951 in New London, New Hampshire to Robert W and Dorothy (Davis) Rivers.

Officer Rivers began his 39th year this January 2014. Doug started his career in Terrell Hills Police Department. They sent him to the Alamo Area Council of Governments Police Academy, from which he graduated in 1976. After graduation, a 27-year-old rookie cop took the job with Castroville Police Department in 1978.
